Tavistock businesses have voted ‘yes’ √ to a third term as a Business Improvement District with an exceptionally strong mandate from the business community.
The ballot, which ran between June 17th and July 15th, saw an above average turnout of 56%.
The ballot achieved an 85% success rate both by number of votes and rateable value.

Since 2011, Tavistock BID has delivered projects and services that businesses identified as priorities; a list of achievements can be found within the business plan or here.
Tavistock BID would like to thank all businesses and other partners in the town for the time and support they have given over the past ten years which have enabled these initiatives to be successfully delivered.
Projects which were prioritised as most important by levy payers have been included in the third term business plan under the following themes:

Tavistock BID will generate circa £413,000 of funding over the five-year term through levy income, supplemented by circa £111,000 of additional contributions, sponsorship and grants. By working closely with partners, Tavistock BID will make the most effective use of shared resources.

Close of postal ballot on Thursday 15th July 2021 at 5pm.
Result announced on Monday 19th July 2021.

If the vote is successful, the third five-year term of Tavistock BID investment in the town will commence.
